Pakistan and Egypt Reaffirm Commitment to Deepen Relations

Davos: Pakistan and Egypt have reaffirmed their desire to deepen cooperation through structured dialogue and continued engagement. The understanding was reached during a meeting between Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb and his Egyptian counterpart Ahmed Kouchouk in Davos, Switzerland.

According to Radio Pakistan, during the meeting, Muhammad Aurangzeb briefed his Egyptian counterpart on Pakistan’s ongoing engagement with international financial institutions. He stated that overall economic indicators are moving in a positive direction.

The Finance Minister highlighted that Pakistan is actively pursuing reforms, including the use of technology-driven approaches to improve governance and revenue administration. In response, the Egyptian Finance Minister appreciated Pakistan’s reform efforts, particularly in the area of taxation, and expressed confidence in the direction of reforms underway.
