Pakistan and France Collaborate on Sustainable Power Initiatives

ISLAMABAD: Pakistan and France have reached an agreement to implement sustainable and eco-friendly measures to enhance Pakistan’s power sector. This development emerged from a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for Power, Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari, and French Ambassador Nicolas Galey.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussions centered around utilizing France’s Green Fund to aid Pakistan in transitioning small vehicles to electric technology. The meeting underscored the countries’ commitment to sustainable energy practices.

Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari highlighted the potential benefits of engaging with France’s resources to advance electric vehicle initiatives in Pakistan. Ambassador Nicolas Galey assured the minister of France’s consideration in providing technical and financial aid to support these and other energy reforms.

The collaboration aims to foster eco-friendly advancements in Pakistan’s energy landscape, benefiting both nations through shared expertise and resources.
