Pakistan and Gates Foundation to Enhance AI Collaboration

Islamabad: A high-level delegation from the Gates Foundation met with Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja. During the meeting, Ms. Khawaja discussed the government’s “Digital Nation Pakistan” agenda, which aims to promote digital growth, modernize public services, and strengthen Pakistan’s digital economy.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ms. Khawaja emphasized the importance of international partnerships, especially with the Gates Foundation, in achieving the vision of a digitally empowered Pakistan. The delegation acknowledged Pakistan’s progress in digital transformation, highlighting the reforms and initiatives led by the IT Ministry.

Both parties agreed to further their collaboration in several areas, including artificial intelligence, the digital economy, data systems, health technology, financial inclusion, capacity building, and technology-driven development.
