Pakistan and Iran to Bolster Cyber-Security Collaboration

Islamabad: Pakistan and Iran have agreed to expand cooperation in security, counterterrorism, cyber-security, and immigration. This development emerged during a meeting between Pakistan’s Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi and his Iranian counterpart, Eskandar Momeni, held in Islamabad, where they reviewed bilateral ties and discussed the latest regional developments.

According to Radio Pakistan, Momeni expressed gratitude for the warm reception extended to the Iranian president and his delegation during their recent visit to Pakistan. He highlighted the importance of the discussions, which aim to enhance mutual cooperation in various critical areas.

Mohsin Naqvi congratulated the Iranian interior minister on the successful joint declaration issued in Brgenstock, Switzerland, acknowledging that the agreement’s fruition was largely due to the Iranian government’s dedicated efforts. Naqvi emphasized Pakistan’s enduring commitment to global peace and stability, affirming the nation’s continuous endeavors for lasting tranquility in the Middle East.
