Pakistan and Italy to Enhance Energy Sector Collaboration

Islamabad: Petroleum Minister Ali Pervaiz Malik hosted a productive meeting with Italian Ambassador Marilina Armellin in Islamabad today. The meeting focused on strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, including oil and gas.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions highlighted the potential for enhanced collaboration between Italy and Pakistan in energy exploration, technology transfer, and investment opportunities. The Minister for Petroleum welcomed the Italian delegation and emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to fostering international partnerships to address energy challenges and promote economic growth. He acknowledged Italy’s expertise in the energy sector and expressed optimism about future joint ventures.

Ali Pervaiz Malik invited the Italian energy companies to participate in the upcoming Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum. The Italian Ambassador expressed Italy’s interest in supporting Pakistan’s energy sector. She emphasized the importance of building robust partnerships to foster innovation and sustainability in energy production. Both sides agreed to explore further avenues for cooperation for the mutual benefit of the energy sectors of their countries.
