Pakistan and Kazakhstan Commit to Strengthening Strategic Partnership

Islamabad: Pakistan and Kazakhstan have agreed to enhance their strategic partnership and explore new avenues of cooperation, particularly focusing on the transport and communication sectors. This decision emerged from a meeting between Alibek Bakayev, the Deputy Foreign Minister of Kazakhstan, and Dr. Kazim Niaz, Pakistan’s Federal Secretary for Economic Affairs.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the meeting highlighted the expanding partnership facilitated through the Pakistan-Kazakhstan Joint Intergovernmental Commission. Both parties emphasized the importance of developing the transport and communication sectors as a priority. Bakayev expressed Kazakhstan’s interest in leveraging Pakistan’s extensive infrastructure network, specifically its seaports and road connections, to bolster bilateral trade and logistics.
