Pakistan and Kuwait Set to Explore New Avenues of Partnership

Islamabad: Pakistan and Kuwait have agreed to explore new avenues of partnership. The agreement was reached during a meeting between Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervaiz Malik and Kuwait’s Ambassador to Pakistan Nassar Abdul-Rahman Almutairi in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ali Pervaiz Malik expressed gratitude to the Government of Kuwait for the timely facilitation of the ship ‘Khairpur.’ The vessel arrived in Pakistan from Kuwait, carrying forty-five thousand tons of diesel and ten thousand tons of jet fuel. This delivery was made possible through special facilitation following the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

The discussions between the two officials also covered potential joint projects in the refining sector. Additionally, they explored the possibility of Kuwait establishing strategic storage facilities in Pakistan.
