Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan Commit to Enhancing Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Akylbek Japarov, met today in Islamabad on the sidelines of the SCO meeting, discussing ways to strengthen their countries’ ties and enhance cooperation across various sectors.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Sharif commended the Kyrgyz Republic’s active role in the SCO and its support for Pakistan’s chairmanship. He expressed satisfaction with the current positive direction of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Kyrgyzstan and articulated a strong desire to expand cooperation in trade, investment, people-to-people contacts, and regional connectivity. In response, Chairman Japarov praised Pakistan for the successful organization of the SCO meeting and acknowledged the hospitality extended to his delegation. He affirmed Kyrgyzstan’s commitment to deepen ties with Pakistan, benefiting both nations.
