Pakistan and Qatar Commit to Strengthen Ties in Trade and Human Development

Islamabad: Pakistan and Qatar have reached an agreement to enhance cooperation in several key areas, including trade, investment, and human development. This development emerged during a meeting between the Consul General of Qatar, Nayef Shahein R.M Al-Sulaiti, and Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah in Karachi.

According to Radio Pakistan, discussions during the meeting also focused on expanding collaboration in sectors such as education and tourism. Both parties expressed a mutual interest in fostering stronger ties, particularly in the realms of trade and investment, to benefit their respective economies.

In a separate engagement, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Murad Ali Shah also met with the Sri Lankan Consul General, Sanjeeva Pattiwila, in Karachi. The discussions with Sri Lanka centered on enhancing bilateral trade relations and promoting tourism between the two nations, aiming to create more robust economic and cultural connections.
