Pakistan and Russia Strengthen Ties in Oil and Gas Sectors

Moscow: Pakistan and Russia have reached an agreement to enhance their bilateral cooperation in the oil, gas, and mineral sectors. The accord was established during meetings between Pakistan’s Minister for Petroleum, Ali Pervez Malik, and executives from various Russian companies as part of his visit to Russia.

According to Radio Pakistan, discussions took place with the Russian geological survey company ROSGEO and the energy AI company Nedra Digital, focusing on potential investments in Pakistan. A significant meeting occurred with the Chairman of the Russian company Gazprom, where both parties agreed on boosting the partnership between Pakistan’s Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) and Gazprom.

Minister Malik was present at the St. Petersburg International Gas Forum, where he engaged with key global economic and energy leaders. He highlighted the extensive reforms implemented by Pakistan in its energy sector, aimed at attracting foreign investment.

Additionally, Ali Pervez Malik extended an invitation to international investors to join the upcoming Pakistan Minerals Investment Forum, showcasing the country’s commitment to fostering global partnerships in the energy and mineral sectors.
