Pakistan and Rwanda Commit to Enhanced Economic and Diplomatic Relations

Islamabad: Pakistan and Rwanda have pledged to enhance their bilateral relations, focusing on economic cooperation, trade, investment, and cultural exchanges. This commitment was made during a meeting between Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Rwanda’s Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Olivier J.P. Nduhungirehe, held on the sidelines of the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting in Samoa.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, both nations acknowledged the positive growth in their relationship, underpinned by mutual respect and shared values. The meeting highlighted significant diplomatic activities, including recent visits by Rwanda’s President of the Senate and the Chief of Defence Staff to Pakistan.

Deputy Prime Minister Dar expressed Pakistan’s eagerness to solidify friendly ties with Rwanda, commending Rwanda on the establishment of a High Commission in Islamabad. In response, Minister Nduhungirehe encouraged Pakistani entrepreneurs to explore investment opportunities in Rwanda, signaling a welcoming environment for business collaborations between the two countries.
