Islamabad: Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have reaffirmed their commitment to strengthen technology partnerships. The resolve was expressed during a meeting between the Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, and the Saudi Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Eng. Abdullah Al-Swaha, in Islamabad.
According to Radio Pakistan, both ministers emphasized the importance of cooperation in artificial intelligence and computing technologies. The discussions highlighted the potential for collaborative efforts in these fields to drive innovation and technological advancement in both countries.
Shaza Fatima Khawaja also reiterated Pakistan’s support for Saudi Arabia’s National Semiconductor Hub, recognizing its significance in fostering growth in the semiconductor industry. The initiative is expected to play a crucial role in enhancing the tech ecosystem and creating opportunities for technological exchange.
Additionally, the meeting touched upon the concept of the Pakistan Digital Corridor, which aims to connect Pakistan with China and Central Asia. This project is seen as a strategic move to enhance digital connectivity and facilitate economic cooperation in the region.
