Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Strengthening Bilateral Relations, Says Prime Minister

Riyadh: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif emphasized the growing cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, highlighting efforts to bolster the countries’ brotherly relations. During a news conference with Saudi Minister of Investment Khalid bin Abdulaziz Al-Falih, Sharif stressed the commitment to achieving progress and prosperity for both nations and the broader Muslim community.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Prime Minister expressed gratitude for Saudi Arabia’s assistance in securing an International Monetary Fund program. He described his meetings in Saudi Arabia as productive and noted that discussions focused on mutually beneficial projects. Sharif mentioned that memorandums of understanding (MoUs) signed weeks ago are now being implemented and expressed optimism about visiting Saudi Arabia next month to advance project timelines.

Sharif highlighted Pakistan’s intention to produce a skilled workforce to contribute to Saudi Arabia’s development. Meanwhile, Saudi Minister of Investment Al-Falih noted that during his recent visit to Pakistan, the nations had concluded 27 MoUs valued at $2.2 billion, a number that has now increased to 34 MoUs worth $2.8 billion. Five MoUs are reportedly operational and financed, resulting in exports from Pakistan and the development of an integrated Medical Complex by a Saudi investor.
