Pakistan and Tajikistan Commit to Strengthen Bilateral Cooperation

Cholpon-ata: Pakistan and Tajikistan have expressed their shared commitment to further expanding cooperation in trade, investment, connectivity, energy, culture, and people-to-people exchanges. This resolve was articulated by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and Foreign Minister of Tajikistan, Sirojiddin Muhriddin during a meeting in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyzstan, held on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers Meeting.

According to Radio Pakistan, the two sides reaffirmed the longstanding, brotherly and close ties between Pakistan and Tajikistan, underscoring the importance of sustained high-level exchanges to further strengthen the bilateral partnership. Foreign Minister Sirojiddin Muhriddin reaffirmed Tajikistan’s support for Pakistan’s continued efforts to promote peace, stability, and the peaceful resolution of regional issues.

The two leaders also exchanged views on regional and global developments, emphasizing the importance of cooperation at multilateral forums to advance peace, stability, and prosperity.
