Pakistan and Tajikistan Prime Ministers Strengthen Ties at SCO Meeting

Islamabad: Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif met with his Tajik counterpart, Mr. Qohir Rasulzoda, at the SCO Council of Heads of Government (CHG) Meeting held in Islamabad. The leaders discussed strengthening their countries’ bilateral relations and enhancing cooperation in various sectors, including trade, investment, energy, and regional connectivity.

According to Press Information Department, Prime Minister Sharif lauded Tajikistan’s constructive role in the SCO and reiterated the strong bonds between the two nations, reflecting on his recent visit to Dushanbe. He emphasized the importance of continued collaboration to advance mutual interests. Prime Minister Rasulzoda appreciated Pakistan’s role as the SCO Chair and its hospitality during the CHG Meeting. He also thanked Pakistan for supporting sugar exports to Tajikistan, which he noted would boost bilateral trade further.
