Pakistan and UNDP Engage in Climate Change Adaptation Talks.

BAKU: Pakistan and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) have engaged in discussions to enhance collaboration on climate change adaptation. This dialogue was spearheaded by Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar and UNDP Administrator Achim Steiner, who met on the sidelines of the COP29 conference in Baku, Azerbaijan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions focused on strengthening support for flood-affected communities and advancing the Sustainable Development Goals. The conversation also highlighted the necessity for increased representation of developing nations in international financial institutions and examined ways to improve their access to concessional finance. Furthermore, both parties deliberated on the implementation of commitments made during the Summit of the Future, which took place in New York in September of this year.
