Pakistan and Uzbekistan Forge Provincial Partnership with ‘Brother Provinces’ Initiative

Lahore: Pakistan and Uzbekistan have decided to declare Punjab and Tashkent as ‘brother provinces’.

According to Radio Pakistan, the decision was reached during a meeting in Lahore between a delegation from Uzbekistan, led by the Governor of Tashkent, Zoyir Mirzayev, and PML-N President Nawaz Sharif, who was accompanied by Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz.

Both parties have agreed to boost economic cooperation in several sectors including tourism, agriculture, livestock, meat processing, beverages, and citrus fruit. This partnership is expected to foster mutual growth and strengthen ties between the two regions.
