Pakistan and Vietnam Commit to Boosting Trade and Tourism

Riyadh: Pakistan and Vietnam have agreed to strengthen their bilateral relations, focusing on expanding trade and promoting tourism, following discussions between leaders of both nations. The meeting occurred on the sidelines of the Eighth Future Investment Initiative Conference.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan and Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh of Vietnam discussed enhancing people-to-people ties and explored avenues to increase trade and investment cooperation. Prime Minister Sharif emphasized the potential for mutual economic growth and proposed the exchange of trade and business delegations to further explore these opportunities.

During the talks, Prime Minister Sharif acknowledged Vietnam’s significant role within the ASEAN region and sought its support for Pakistan’s aim to become a full dialogue partner of ASEAN. Additionally, he invited the Vietnamese Prime Minister to undertake an official visit to Pakistan, signaling a commitment to deepening engagements between the two countries.
