Pakistan and Zimbabwe to Strengthen Bilateral Ties in Defence and Economic Sectors

Islamabad: In a significant diplomatic meeting, H.E. Titus Mehliswa Jonathan Abu Basutu, the Ambassador of Zimbabwe, met with Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Pakistan’s Minister for Defence, Defence Production and Aviation. Both dignitaries discussed ways to enhance the political, economic, and defence relations between the two countries, emphasizing their shared values and historical ties.

According to Press Information Department, during the meeting held today in Islamabad, Minister Asif highlighted the common history of struggle that Pakistan and Zimbabwe share and expressed a strong desire to further strengthen the bilateral ties. Both sides expressed satisfaction with the existing level of cooperation and committed to enhancing it in areas of mutual interest.

This meeting underscores a mutual commitment to deepen the interactions between the two nations across various sectors, which could lead to increased collaboration in defence and economic development.
