Pakistan Army Intensifies Relief Efforts in Flood-Hit Shangla and Buner

Islamabad: Pakistan Army is continuing rescue and relief operations in flood affected areas. Troops from Pakistan Army’s Engineering Corps have been deployed in Shangla and Buner for flood relief and rescue operations. Following the rescue operations, Pir Baba Bypass has been reopened for all types of traffic.

According to Radio Pakistan, with the help of heavy machinery, Army restored the twenty kilometer-long Aloch-Puran road at seven locations affected by landslides. After the rescue operation, ground connectivity to Puran village has been restored.
