Pakistan Army Rebuts Indian Army Chief’s Terrorism Allegations

Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Army has issued a sharp rebuttal to recent claims by Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi, who labeled Pakistan as a hub of terrorism. The Pakistan Army’s spokesperson dismissed these allegations as a distortion of facts.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of the Pakistan Army criticized General Dwivedi’s remarks as an effort to revive an outdated narrative. The statement also accused the Indian Army Chief of overseeing severe repression in occupied Kashmir, suggesting his comments aim to deflect from India’s actions in the disputed region.

The Pakistan Army spokesperson further highlighted that such statements are intended to distract from domestic issues within India, including the alleged oppression of minorities and global criticism of the country’s policies. The spokesperson condemned the remarks as politically motivated and reaffirmed Pakistan’s rejection of these accusations.

The spokesperson pointed to international awareness of anti-Muslim rhetoric in India, where extremist gatherings have allegedly called for violence. He insisted that efforts to undermine the Kashmiri people’s pursuit of self-determination are doomed to fail, with the global community recognizing the violations against minorities in India.

Additionally, the spokesperson referenced an incident involving an Indian military officer allegedly caught in Pakistan planning terrorist acts. He criticized the Indian Army Chief for ignoring this issue, expressing disappointment over the lack of acknowledgment.

The statement concluded with a firm stance that India’s alleged propaganda will not deter the Kashmiri cause, and called for India to confront the realities of its actions rather than making unfounded statements.
