Pakistan Army Responds to Unprovoked Afghan Taliban Aggression at Border

Islamabad: The Pakistan Army has retaliated against unprovoked attacks by the Afghan Taliban along the Pak-Afghan border, which began on the 7th of this month, resulting in 16 Taliban fatalities and 27 injuries.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the Afghan Taliban initiated the hostilities by targeting Pakistani check posts with heavy weapons from the Palosin area adjacent to the border. The conflict persisted until yesterday evening, during which the Pakistan Army effectively responded to the aggression.

Security sources also reported that two tanks operated by the Afghan Taliban were destroyed in the skirmishes, further indicating the intensity of the military engagement. The situation remains tense as both nations navigate this recent escalation at the border.
