Pakistan Bar Council Distances Itself from PTI Propaganda

Islamabad: The Pakistan Bar Council has distanced itself from PTI propaganda, clarifying that a statement issued by eight of its twenty-three members reflects their individual views and does not represent the Council’s collective position. In a statement, the Council’s Vice Chairman emphasized that the Pakistan Bar Council, as an institution of the legal fraternity, must remain above political interests and personal agendas.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Council strongly condemned the statements issued by the eight members and dissociated itself from them. It also rejected a statement issued by the Lahore High Court Bar Association, asserting that such statements do not represent the collective position, policy, or views of the Council or the legal fraternity.
