Pakistan, Belarus Strengthen Bilateral Ties and Plan for Future Cooperation

Cholpon-ata: Deputy Prime Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, Maxim Ryzhenkov, on the sidelines of the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers (CFM) Meeting in Cholpon-Ata, Kyrgyz Republic. The two sides reviewed Pakistan-Belarus bilateral relations and reaffirmed their commitment to further strengthening cooperation across diverse sectors.

According to Radio Pakistan, the discussions between the leaders centered on enhancing economic and trade cooperation, as well as deepening collaboration in defence, agriculture, technology, and workforce exchange. Both parties expressed their dedication to the Roadmap for Comprehensive Cooperation (2025-2027) and looked forward to the 9th Session of the Pakistan-Belarus Joint Ministerial Commission, which Pakistan will host next month.

In addition to bilateral matters, the two Ministers exchanged views on regional developments and issues of mutual interest. Foreign Minister Ryzhenkov acknowledged Pakistan’s constructive role in facilitating dialogue during the U.S.-Iran situation and commended Pakistan’s ongoing efforts to promote regional peace and security.
