Pakistan Calls for Ceasefire, Humanitarian Action in Sudan

Islamabad: Pakistan has called for ceasefire, accountability and humanitarian action in Sudan crisis. At the UN Security Council briefing on the International Criminal Court (ICC) report regarding the Darfur region of Sudan, Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the UN Munir Akram condemned the recent attack by the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) on the Saudi Hospital in Al-Fasher.

According to Radio Pakistan, Munir Akram asked the warring parties to implement the commitments made under the Jeddah Declaration, which focuses on the protection of civilians and the facilitation of humanitarian action to address the emergency needs of the Sudanese people.
