Islamabad: Pakistan has called on the interim Afghan government to take decisive action to prevent its territory from being used by terrorists to conduct attacks against Pakistan. This request follows the killing of an Afghan national alleged to be involved in terrorist activities within Pakistan.
According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, an Afghan national identified as Muhammad Khan Ahmedkhel was killed in the Sambaza area of Zhob district in Balochistan on the 11th of this month. Ahmedkhel, the son of Haji Qasim Dawran Khan, hailed from the Village Bilorai in the District of Wazekhwa, Paktika Province, Afghanistan.
The deceased’s body was returned to Afghan government officials after completing necessary formalities, highlighting ongoing cooperation between the two countries in handling such incidents.
The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) noted that this case exemplifies the involvement of Afghan nationals in terrorist activities within Pakistan, underscoring the urgency of Pakistan’s appeal to the Afghan government to address the issue.
