Pakistan China Joint Chamber Celebrates 74 Years of Diplomatic Relations

Lahore: The Pakistan China Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCJCCI) hosted a significant event to commemorate the 74th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Pakistan and China at its Secretariat. Nazir Hussain, President of PCJCCI, remarked on the enduring nature of these relations, established on May 21, 1951, emphasizing their continued strengthening over time.

Brigadier Mansoor Saeed Sheikh (Retd), Senior Vice President of PCJCCI, highlighted the transformative potential of combining Chinese technological prowess with Pakistan’s resources. He pointed to the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) as a cornerstone of economic, commercial, and cultural links between the two countries.

Zafar Iqbal, Vice President of PCJCCI, noted that nearly seven decades of friendship have seen the relationship grow stronger with each decade. He emphasized the mutual benefits of China’s rise as a global economic power for Pakistan, crediting both governments and business leaders for enhancing these ties.

Salahuddin Hanif, Secretary General of PCJCCI, discussed the chamber’s efforts to bridge communication gaps by promoting Chinese language proficiency across various sectors. He described the Economic Corridor as a pathway not only to Pakistan’s prosperity but also to global economic progress.
