Pakistan Commemorates 6th Anniversary of ‘Operation Swift Retort’

Islamabad: The 6th anniversary of “Operation Swift Retort” is being commemorated on Thursday to pay tribute to the valiant Armed Forces of Pakistan for demonstrating their resilience and resolve against the Indian attempt to carry out a misadventure.

According to Radio Pakistan, on February 27, 2019, the Pakistan Air Force successfully thwarted a border violation by shooting down two Indian fighter jets. During this operation, an Indian pilot, Abhinandan, was also captured, marking a significant moment in the history of Pakistan’s military defense.

Meanwhile, the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has released a song titled ‘Dushmana Sun’ to mark the completion of six years since the operation. The song expresses a pledge and commitment by the nation’s brave sons for the defense of the motherland, reinforcing the spirit and dedication of the armed forces.
