Pakistan Committed to Further Advancing Peace: DPM

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister Ishaq Dar has emphasized Pakistan’s commitment to amplifying the voices of the developing world and advancing peace through justice and dialogue. Addressing the Inter Parliamentary Speakers’ Conference in Islamabad, he outlined the country’s foreign policy as firmly rooted in the principles of the UN charter, sovereign equality, peaceful settlement of disputes, non-interference, and fostering friendly relations among nations.

According to Radio Pakistan, Ishaq Dar highlighted that dialogue has always been Pakistan’s preferred approach for achieving stability and progress. He stated that the nation consistently advocates for regional cooperation, conflict prevention, and equitable development, which serve as the foundations of a peaceful world order. Dar underscored Pakistan’s commitment to multilateralism, reflecting the country’s enduring belief that dialogue, rather than discord, should define humanity’s future.

The Deputy Prime Minister further asserted that Pakistan has been a steadfast force against terrorism. He reiterated the country’s categorical rejection of all forms and manifestations of terrorism. Referring to recent acts of terrorism in Islamabad and Wana, Dar condemned these cowardly acts, affirming that they will not deter or weaken Pakistan’s national resolve to combat this menace.
