Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to maintaining the highest standards of nuclear safety and security. In a message on International Chernobyl Disaster Remembrance Day, being observed today, he emphasized the country’s dedication to responsible nuclear conduct.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari underscored Pakistan’s support for international efforts aimed at promoting responsible behavior, strengthening safeguards, and reducing the risk of nuclear incidents similar to the Chernobyl disaster. He highlighted that nuclear safety requires consistent discipline and robust oversight, with a clear understanding of the risks involved.
