Pakistan Committed to Youth-Led Climate Education: Saleem

Pakistan: Pakistan is committed to placing climate change education, communication, and youth-led advocacy at the core of national climate policy implementation. This was stated by Spokesperson Minister of Climate Change Mohammad Saleem Shaikh, in connection with the International Education Day, in a press release issued today.

According to Radio Pakistan, Saleem emphasized that climate literacy is empowering citizens, especially young people and the media, to understand risks, adopt sustainable behaviors, and contribute meaningfully to mitigation and adaptation efforts. The spokesperson highlighted that Pakistan’s National Climate Change Policy places a strong emphasis on public education and outreach to build broad awareness of climate risks and protect the country’s natural capital.
