Pakistan Customs Integrates with Blockchain Platform for Digital Trade

Hong Kong:Pakistan Customs Pakistan Customs has become the first customs administration to successfully integrate with ValidAP, a blockchain-based cross-validation platform developed and hosted by Hong Kong Customs.

According to Radio Pakistan, the integration has been operationalized through the Pakistan Single Window system. This achievement follows a Memorandum of Understanding signed between Pakistan Customs and the Customs and Excise Department of Hong Kong on May 18th of this year.

The integration highlights the strengthening cooperation between Pakistan Customs and Hong Kong Customs in promoting secure digital trade and facilitating trade processes. The initiative aims to reduce reliance on paper-based and manual verification processes, allowing for faster validation of trade documents and more efficient clearance of consignments.

Aligned with the World Customs Organization’s Asia Pacific Region’s Smart Customs Initiative, this development reflects Pakistan Customs’ commitment to using digital technologies and international collaboration to improve the security, efficiency, and transparency of cross-border trade procedures.
