Pakistan Day Celebrations Marked by Flag Hoisting at Kohala

Kohala: On the occasion of Pakistan Day, a flag-hoisting ceremony was held at Kohala, the entry point to Azad Kashmir. Besides, a commemorative wall was inaugurated in memory of the heroes of the Kashmir freedom movement.

According to Radio Pakistan, former Prime Minister of Azad Kashmir Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan and the local commander of the Pakistan Army hoisted the flags of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir. A smart contingent of the Pakistan Army paid a ceremonial salute to the flags while playing the national anthems of Pakistan and Azad Kashmir.

A large number of people gathered to view the commemorative wall adorned with pictures of Kashmiri heroes, including Syed Ali Geelani, Sardar Ibrahim, and Sardar Abdul Qayyum Khan. The people of Azad Kashmir and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa joined hands to form a human chain, symbolizing unity and love. The participants enthusiastically chanted slogans “Long live Pakistan,” “Kashmir will become Pakistan,” and “Long live the Pakistan Army.”
