Pakistan Delegation Presents ICCPR Review at UN Human Rights Committee in Geneva

Geneva: Pakistan’s delegation, led by Malik Ahmed Khan, Speaker of the Punjab Assembly, is currently presenting the country’s review of the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights (ICCPR) before the United Nations Human Rights Committee in Geneva.

According to Ministry of Human Rights, the delegation includes prominent officials such as Mr. Sohaib Bherath, Minister of Law and Parliamentary Affairs for the Government of Punjab, Mr. Allahdino Khowaja, Secretary of the Ministry of Human Rights, and Mr. Muhammad Arshad, Director General of the International Cooperation division at the Ministry of Human Rights. The presentation covers Pakistan’s commitments and progress under the ICCPR, a key international treaty aimed at safeguarding civil and political rights.
