Pakistan Desires to Strengthen Ties with Azerbaijan: Gilani

Baku: A parliamentary delegation led by Chairman Senate Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani held a meeting with President of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev in Baku and discussed bilateral relations and regional situation.

According to Radio Pakistan, in his remarks, the Chairman Senate said Pakistan is proud of its relations with Azerbaijan. He emphasized that both countries are connected through religious, cultural, and historical similarities, which form the foundation of their bilateral ties.

Yousuf Raza Gilani expressed Pakistan’s desire to further strengthen its relations with Azerbaijan. He noted that high-level exchanges between the two nations would facilitate public diplomacy and deepen mutual understanding.

During the meeting, the Chairman Senate informed President Aliyev about the Special Investment Facilitation Council and highlighted the investment opportunities available in various sectors of Pakistan, including agriculture, energy, and mining.
