Pakistan Elected as Vice-Chair of General Assembly of State Parties to 2003 Convention

Paris: Pakistan has been elected as Vice-Chair of the General Assembly of State Parties to the 2003 Convention for the Safeguarding of the Intangible Cultural Heritage.

According to Radio Pakistan, a press release issued by the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization Headquarters in Paris noted that Pakistan remains committed to safeguarding and promoting Intangible Cultural Heritage.

The press release emphasized that Pakistan will actively contribute to multinational inscriptions and preservation efforts for cultural expressions that reflect its rich heritage. Pakistan is also set to work closely with member states to enhance international cooperation aimed at protecting and transmitting living heritage to future generations.
