Pakistan Emphasizes Libyan-Led Process as Key to Lasting Peace

New York: Pakistan has articulated that a Libyan-led and Libyan-owned process is the sole pathway to achieving sustainable peace and stability in Libya.

According to Radio Pakistan, this statement was made by Pakistan’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Munir Akram, during a national statement at the Security Council briefing on the United Nations Support Mission in Libya.

Ambassador Akram urged all Libyan parties to sustain their momentum and to constructively address outstanding issues through meaningful dialogue. He highlighted the importance of ensuring that any political reconciliation process provides peace dividends to all citizens, with a focus on equitable distribution of national resources.

The Ambassador reiterated that Pakistan remains committed as a steadfast partner in supporting Libya’s journey towards peace, stability, and prosperity.
