Pakistan Encourages Turkish Partnerships in Joint Ventures to Boost Bilateral Trade

Washington DC: In a strategic move to strengthen economic ties, Pakistan’s Finance Minister Muhammad Aurangzeb met with Turkiye’s Treasury and Finance Minister Mehmet Simsek, where he invited Turkish firms to enter into joint ventures with Pakistani companies. The meeting, which emphasized the long-standing fraternal and multifaceted relations between the two countries, focused on enhancing bilateral trade and learning from Turkiye’s reforms in the power sector.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Minister Aurangzeb highlighted the potential benefits of increased collaboration between Pakistan and Turkiye, particularly in areas where Turkiye has demonstrated significant advancements. The proposed joint ventures aim to leverage Turkiye’s experience to foster development and economic growth in Pakistan, further solidifying the partnership between the two nations.
