Pakistan Enhances Maritime Security with Induction of New Warships

Karachi: President Asif Ali Zardari announced the induction of two newly built warships, PNS Babur and PNS Hunain, into the Pakistan Navy fleet during a ceremony on Defence Day, underscoring the country’s enhanced maritime security capabilities.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the President emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces remain vigilant and are fully prepared to counter any threats to the nation’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. He highlighted that the addition of PNS Babur and PNS Hunain would significantly bolster the navy’s ability to protect Pakistan’s sea borders.

President Zardari also acknowledged the support of the Turkish and Romanian governments in strengthening Pakistan’s naval forces, stating that a robust navy is crucial for ensuring the security of maritime boundaries.
