Pakistan Establishes NDMS Company to Develop Local Dredging Capabilities

Islamabad: Pakistan has established National Dredging and Marine Services (NDMS) company to develop local dredging capabilities.

According to Radio Pakistan, this is a joint initiative of the National Logistics Corporation, Karachi Port Trust (KPT), Port Qasim Authority, and Gwadar Port Authority. With the establishment of local dredging capacity, reliance on foreign companies will decrease, leading to significant foreign exchange savings.

Dredging operations conducted by the NDMS will help keep Port Qasim fully operational without interruptions. This development is expected to make maritime transport more efficient.
