Pakistan, France to Collaborate in Promoting Human Rights & Inclusive Policy Reform

Islamabad: Pakistan and France have reaffirmed their commitment to collaborate in promoting human rights and inclusive policy reform.

According to Radio Pakistan, the agreement was reached during a meeting between Pakistan’s Minister for Law and Human Rights, Azam Nazeer Tarar, and the Ambassador of France, Nicolas Galey, in Islamabad. The discussions focused on strengthening bilateral efforts to advance human rights initiatives and ensure inclusive policy reforms.

The Minister for Law emphasized Pakistan’s dedication to the GSP+ framework, highlighting its importance in governance reforms, institutional strengthening, and sustainable development. In response, the French Ambassador recognized Pakistan’s progress in these areas and commended the advancements in legislation and institutional safeguards that have been made.

Both parties expressed optimism about the future of their collaborative efforts, underscoring the significance of international cooperation in fostering human rights and inclusive governance. The meeting concluded with a mutual agreement to continue working closely on these critical issues.
