Pakistan Gives Great Importance to Ties with Portugal: President

Lisbon: President Asif Ali Zardari held a meeting with President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa in Lisbon, focusing on strengthening the relationship between Pakistan and Portugal. The two leaders engaged in discussions on several key issues of bilateral significance and stressed the importance of further enhancing cooperation across various sectors.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting also included talks on fostering cultural and interpersonal connections between the two nations. President Zardari highlighted the importance Pakistan places on its relationship with Portugal, noting the long-standing cordial ties between the countries. He extended an invitation to President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa to visit Pakistan, aiming to solidify and expand the existing friendly relations.
