Makkah: Pakistan Hajj Mission has recovered over 74,000 Saudi Riyals from private tour operators for overcharging intending Hajj pilgrims.
According to Radio Pakistan, correspondent Asad Ullah Khan reports from Makkah that show-cause notices have also been served to thirty-five companies as part of a major crackdown on service violations. The action aims to ensure that pilgrims are not exploited by private tour operators and receive fair treatment and services as promised.
The Mission has recovered 74,455 Saudi Riyals, which amounts to more than 5.5 million Pakistani rupees, from those operators who overcharged pilgrims for sacrificial animal fees and other services. The recovered amount was promptly returned to the intending pilgrims on the spot, providing immediate relief to those affected. The Pakistan Hajj Mission’s efforts underscore the importance of maintaining transparency and accountability in the services provided to pilgrims.
