Pakistan Keen to Strengthen Cooperation with China: President

Islamabad: President Asif Ali Zardari has expressed Pakistan’s keen interest in further strengthening bilateral cooperation with China across various domains of mutual interest. The President conveyed this during a meeting with Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Jiang Zaidong, who called on him in Islamabad today.

According to Radio Pakistan, President Zardari highlighted the importance Pakistan places on its relationship with China, noting the vast potential for enhancing collaboration in trade, economy, culture, and regional connectivity. He underscored the necessity of working together to promote peace, security, and prosperity in the region.

President Zardari acknowledged China’s steadfast support during times of need, describing China as Pakistan’s “iron-clad brother.” He expressed gratitude for China’s consistent backing and appreciated its role in Pakistan’s socio-economic development, thanking the Chinese leadership and people for their ongoing support.
