Pakistan Launches Girls Empowerment Forum with Over 500 Participants to Address National Challenges

Islamabad: In a significant step toward promoting gender equality and addressing pressing issues affecting young women, the Ministry of Human Rights (MoHR), in collaboration with UNICEF Pakistan and the Pakistan Girls Guide Association (PGGA), has officially launched the Pakistan Girls Empowerment Forum.

According to Ministry of Human Rights, the forum successfully convened over 500 girls from various regions including Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), Pakistan Administered Kashmir, and Gilgit Baltistan. These participants collaborated to formulate a shared vision for the future, aimed at tackling challenges such as the climate crisis, conflict, and poverty. This vision will be formally presented to the Prime Minister of Pakistan in conjunction with the International Day of the Girl Child.

The initiative seeks to amplify the voices of young girls across Pakistan and empower them to contribute effectively to societal change. The collaborative nature of the forum highlights the commitment of multiple stakeholders towards creating an equitable environment where girls can thrive without barriers.
