Pakistan, Malaysia Urge Peace Amid Gulf Tensions

Islamabad: Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif held a telephonic conversation with the Prime Minister of Malaysia, Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim, this afternoon. During their discussion, the leaders emphasized the need for de-escalation of hostilities in Iran and the Gulf region.

According to Radio Pakistan, Prime Minister Sharif extended Eid-ul-Fitr greetings to the Malaysian Prime Minister, the government, and the people of Malaysia, which were warmly reciprocated by Prime Minister Ibrahim. The leaders expressed mutual prayers for peace and harmony within the Ummah and emphasized the importance of reducing tensions in the region.

The conversation concluded with both leaders agreeing to collaborate on advancing peace efforts. They also expressed satisfaction with the positive momentum in bilateral ties and reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening Pakistan-Malaysia relations.
