Pakistan, Nepal Pledge to Strengthen Cooperation in Trade, Tourism, and Economic Sectors

Islamabad: Pakistan and Nepal have pledged to strengthen bilateral and regional cooperation, focusing on trade, tourism, and economic sectors. The commitment was reiterated during a meeting between Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif of Pakistan and Prime Minister K.P. Sharma Oli of Nepal on the sidelines of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, the discussion underscored the solid foundation of bilateral relations, with both leaders expressing satisfaction with the current state of affairs. Prime Minister Sharif congratulated Prime Minister Oli on his recent appointment and shared his hopes for deepening multi-faceted cooperation between the two nations.

The dialogue also highlighted Pakistan’s eagerness to explore new avenues for partnership, with a significant focus on enhancing economic, trade, and tourism ties. Additionally, Prime Minister Sharif extended an invitation to his Nepali counterpart to visit Pakistan, aiming to further cement the diplomatic and developmental bonds between the two countries.
