Pakistan Pursues Long-Term Multidimensional Partnership with Russia

Islamabad: In a recent meeting with the Russian Ambassador, Pakistan’s Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif emphasized the country’s desire to develop a long-term and multifaceted partnership with Russia, focusing on defence, trade, energy, and cultural exchanges.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Ambassador Albert P. Khorev of the Russian Federation discussed with Minister Asif the potential for enhanced bilateral defence and economic cooperation. During these discussions, Minister Asif reiterated Pakistan’s dedication to maintaining regional peace and security and expressed a strong intent to deepen ties with Russia across multiple sectors.

The Russian Ambassador reciprocated with assurances of his government’s commitment to collaborate with Pakistan in various areas of mutual interest, signaling a positive trajectory for bilateral relations between the two nations.
