Pakistan Railways and Balochistan Collaborate on New People’s Train Service

Quetta: Pakistan Railways and the Government of Balochistan have agreed to launch the “People’s Train Service” between Saryab and Kuchlak. This decision was made at a high-level meeting held in Quetta, chaired by Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Sarfraz Bugti.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Government of Balochistan will procure engines and coaches for the service from Pakistan Railways instead of importing them. Railways Minister Muhammad Hanif Abbasi assured that within six months, engines, coaches, and other necessary facilities would be provided for the new service.

It was also decided during the meeting that Pakistan Railways would begin upgrading the existing infrastructure on the route to ensure smooth and efficient operation of the service. The Minister for Railways described the project as a respectable, affordable, and fast travel solution for the people of Balochistan. He stated that the service would mark the beginning of a new era of transportation for the public and provide quality travel facilities to the local population.
