Pakistan Railways denies fuel shortage for train operations

Pakistan Railways has categorically stated that there is no shortage of fuel for train operations as there is an agreement with Pakistan State Oil regarding the provision of fuel.

According to Pakistan Railways Spokesperson, the uninterrupted supply of fuel to railways is the responsibility of Pakistan State Oil.

He further said that the depots of Lahore and Karachi contain the deposits of one month’ fuel and these two depots fulfill around sixty-two percent need of Railways. Other Railway divisions also have ample quantity of fuel.

The Spokesperson clarified that Pakistan Railways has budget and fuel both.
